Historical geometry

Pythagoras found fame from drinking maths;

of course, that’s so last year’s hypot-e-nuse —

all of which is ancient Greek to me,

as Pathe news I much prefer to see.


All sides are square, so choose which one you like,

but only if your angle is quite right.

His calculator was so digital –

the digits of both hands were decimal.


It’s Q. E. D. when this you ‘up’ and ‘sum’:

Quite Easily [when all is said and] Done.
